Top 5 UGG Boots to Keep You Warm This Christmas 2009

18 December 2009 2 Comments

It’s official people. UGGs are here to stay.

When UGG boots first came out, it was so easy to judge them as yet another quick fad. All the celebrities had them, fashion critics hated them, and on top of it all, they were, in fact, quite ugly.

When we wrote about the best-selling boots for this winter 2009, we weren’t kidding when we said that UGGs have taken over. UGGs didn’t just take the top spot, other UGG designs also took the second, third, fourth, up to sixth place. Not wanting to have an all-UGG list, we decided to just lump all those boots together and declare them as the overall best-selling winner.

For this entry, we break down that list and identify exactly which UGG boots are the most popular. Here are the top 5 UGG boots to keep you warm this Christmas season:

5. UGG Classic Argyle Knit

UGG Classic Argyle Knit

These knit UGG boots have been described anywhere from “adorable” to “so cozy” to “ridiculously comfy”. The argyle pattern on these boots is supposed to resemble socks and that’s exactly how they feel when worn. The charcoal is the most popular color, but try a non-typical color like stout or fig (as shown in the picture). Retails for $160.00.

4. UGG Knightsbridge

UGG Knightsbridge

In at number 4 is the UGG Knightsbridge. It’s basically the classic UGG boot that we all know, except structured and made more durable. The issue with the classic UGGs looking frumpy and too worn-in after a while are resolved in this new zip-up boot style. These boots will run you $220.00.

3. UGG Classic Cardy

Breaking into the top 3 is another one of UGG’s knit boots, the Classic Cardy. This style is a big hit among celebrities. Although the sheepskin lining is only a sockliner in this UGG boot, the knit sweater design still keeps feet warm and toasty. Wear it rolled up or rolled down, it’ll look cute either way. Purchase price is at $140.00.

2.  UGG Bailey Button

UGG Bailey Button

Second place goes to the Bailey Button, a buttoned UGG boot just like the number 3 Classic Cardy. You can also roll this one up or down, and rolling them down will reveal the sheepskin lining in a slightly darker or lighter color than the suede boot. Even if customers have already been advised that these boots cannot be used for walking on snow or ice, they still remain to be a popular UGG style. Selling for $149.99.

1. UGG Classic

UGG Classic Tall

Still nothing beats the classic. Tall or short, the Classic UGG rules over all the other styles. Chestnut and sand still remains to be the best-selling colors and after all the years that UGGs have been in the market, people have began declaring them as the best pair of boots they’ve ever owned. The tall goes for $179.99 while the short retails for $139.99.

All of these UGG boots are available at Zappos.com.
