Who Wore it Worse: Sheryl Crow Vs. LeAnn Rimes

May 20, 2010 • By Erika

We always have “who wore it better” posts so why not have a “who wore it worse” post for a change?

So who wore the Yves Saint Laurent Three-Strap Sandal Booties worse:

Sheryl Crow at Us Weekly Hot Hollywood Style Issue celebration?

OR

LeAnn Rimes at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)?

Sheryl Crow looks cool and beautiful with her loosely tied blond hair and light makeup. Her face matches her flowy floral dress perfectly but then everything suddenly goes awry when you scroll down to her feet. The chunky-strapped YSL sandal booties are way too heavy for Sheryl Crow’s mid-calf length maxi dress and the nude color clashes with the tan leather clutch she’s holding in her hand.

You can’t get any more comfortable and casual than LeAnn Rimes’ white tank, green army jacket, and barely there denim cutoff shorts travel ensemble. She’ll certainly breeze through airport security in this outfit, but those tiny shorts are a wee bit too tiny for her 4 1/4-inches high YSL sandal booties. The fashion rule is “the higher your heels, the longer your hem should be”, but good ol’ common sense should be enough to tell you that your shorts are too short when the ends of your pockets are showing.

The Yves Saint Laurent Three-Strap Sandal Booties:

The leather banded version of these are available for $850.00 at SaksFifthAvenue.com:

A less expensive alternative is the L.A.M.B. Quintessa Twist Booties with a heel just as high as the YSLs:

These are $295.00 at Shopbop.com.
