A Case of So Much Beige: Whitney Port in Loeffler Randall Electra Cutout Booties for Pipino 57 Party

Carrie Bradshaw would be appalled at the beige trend that’s taking this spring/summer 2011 season by storm. Even Carrie’s um, real world alter ego Sarah Jessica Parker has been spotted in numerous neutral-colored shoes herself!

Beige is certainly all the rage nowadays but do you think there’s such a thing as wearing too much beige even now at the height of its popularity? Here’s the case I present to you — Whitney Port who was seen bingeing on beige at a launch party at Pipino 57 in New York:

Beige top, beige booties, beige skin color. Whitney Port thankfully broke it up with a ruffled white mini skirt but what’s really getting me here is how eerily close the shade of beige on her clothes are to her own skin tone!

Whitney Port’s booties in particular blend in too well with her legs and make me imagine that the booties are the shape of her real feet. Whitney Port has been called a real-life Barbie before (especially with her stint as a host on a reality show called “Genuine Ken”) and with these booties, she could have the toe-less, forever arched Barbie feet for real.

What do you think of all this beige – BRING IT ON or BORING?

Whitney Port’s booties are these Loeffler Randall Electra cutout booties (shown in beige suede):
