I didn’t think any shoe brand would dare knockoff Nicholas Kirkwood’s individualistic designs. But look who was bold enough to do so and may I just say, did a pretty impressive job of it too.
Sole Boutique (the shoe brand that gave us Lady Gaga shoes within reach) just released their Sydney shoe at Karmaloop and I was just blown away by how much it resembled the Nicholas Kirkwood lace booties Miranda Kerr wore to the 2011 Met Gala a couple of months ago.
I was even more blown away when I saw the price tag on these — these booties retail for all of just 50 dollars.

Pretty impressive huh? Oh and in case you’ve forgotten what the Nicholas Kirkwood booties I’m talking about look like, here’s a side-by-side comparison with the Sole Boutique booties:

Minor changes in the platform and the lace, but at a 1,145-dollar difference, I think we can let that slide. 🙂
