I’m currently looking for a transition-to-fall pair of boots.
My requirements are that it be a bootie with a heel and a platform, that it stands away from the leg (so I can tuck pants, jeans or leggings into it), that it be black and that it have something unexpected or unusual in its design.
These aren’t demanding by any means, I believe, and I think you shoe lovers out there understand the need for such requirements. But it’s still taking me a while to find that perfect pair even if I started my search nearly a month ago.
Until I came across these Mark & James by Badgley Mischka Dannie booties today which I think just might end my search:

Is it a bootie? Yes.
Is it roomy around the ankle area? Yes.
Does it have something unexpected or unusual? Studs, cutouts, harness straps — yes, yes and yes.
Okay so they aren’t black but that gorgeous “grey” color shown above got me scraping that requirement off my list. It DOES come in black — let me show it to you just so you could see how much better-looking the grey color is:

So, is it black or grey for you?
These Mark & James by Badgley Mischka booties retail $345.00.
Oops — forgot about the price requirement. This one’s just a bit over my price range!
But if it falls perfectly into yours, you can find both colors at Zappos. These are also new arrivals so finding your size shouldn’t be a problem.
