Amber Heard Makes Spats/Half Chaps Look Cool

The paps caught Amber Heard making a quick stop at a local Starbucks in LA last week. She was wearing an equestrienne chic-style outfit consisting of a cream sweater, suede-paneled black jodhpurs, and black leather half-chaps slipped over brown Western-style boots.

Amber Heard was also spotted in these very same riding pants, chaps, and boots a week before these pictures were taken. I’m going to take a guess and say that Amber Heard isn’t just doing this for fashion and really does have a once-a-week horse-riding activity penciled into her schedule. Either she’s doing this for a role or she just really likes to go horse riding. It is listed down as one of her favorite hobbies in her bio after all.

Still, Amber Heard makes those half-chaps look oh-so-cool, and she’s making us want to try out the look, just for the sake of fashion. We probably would skip the jodhpurs though because we don’t want to take the equestrienne chic look over the top!

The half chaps or spats alone are enough of a fashion challenge; finding shoes to wear with them would be as difficult.

We did, however, find half chaps that look very similar to Amber Heard’s own pair. Check out these chaps from Ariat, an established performance footwear and apparel brand for equestrian athletes, which explains the premium prices on these.
