The Doctor Is Back: Dr. Martens Boots Everybody Wants

September 1, 2012 • By Karla Mae

Grunge is back, although to be honest, we don’t think it ever left. One of the reasons is Dr. Martens. This brand has taught generations of teenagers the exhilaration of fashion rebellion since the 1960s, and it continues to do so by churning out winning designs that celebrate passion and individuality.

We’ve picked out our favorites — perfect pairs we heart a lot:

Grace Bow 8-Eye Capper Boots in Black, $130

How can you not want black patent boots? This sturdy pair also comes with polka-dotted ribbon laces for a touch of whimsy.

1460 8-Tie Boots in Purple, $120

We love how this brings a pop of color to an outfit (maybe even express our passion for, say, grape juice) without being over the top. And just try this purple lace-up with a yellow cardi. Fun.

Print Eye Boots in Black Victorian Flowers, $130

It was so ’90s to pair a floral dress with a pair of plain and clunky Dr. Martens. We’d like to revamp and reverse that trend — match a simple dress with the Victorian-style floral print of these eight-eye boots.

Modern Classic 8-Eye Boots in Black Patent, $115

This is the millenium’s version on the classic Dr. Martens. The 8-eye gets a black patent exterior but keeps its stitched soles and classic silhouette. Perfect for outdoor music festivals.
