No Rain? No Worries! Enjoy Hunter Boots All Year Round

November 22, 2012 • By Robert

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that Hunter rain boots serve a functional purpose during the rainy season and act as protection from cold and slush during the fall and winter months. What has taken a lot of people by surprise, myself included, is the use they were getting and continue to get on dry days with the sun brightly shining.

The boots date back to the mid 1800’s, but it wasn’t until about two years ago that they achieved a cultlike following by young teenage girls and professional working women everywhere. Why the sudden fame? Well, the major media coverage in Cosmo, InStyle, and Vanity Fair was a factor, and I’m guessing that the list of A-list celebs, such as Kate Hudson and Kate Bosworth, being photographed wearing the pieces also contributed to the trend.

Strictly talking fashion, Hunter boots fit many different looks and can work with just about any casual outfit you can think of. If you know of any other all-weather boot that is able to pair well with denims, shorts, skirts, and even mini dresses, please let us know! With their sudden claim to fame, Hunter has done a great job releasing new and trendy designs, such as ankle boots, lace booties, faux-fur-lined boots, and sock-lined boots.

For those of you waiting for this fad to disappear, you may have to wait a while longer. With these “bad boys” staking a major claim in urban fashion areas, it’s safe to say they won’t be going anywhere anytime soon!

Glam as always, Kate Bosworth rocks out in a pair of army-green Hunter boots with a vintage-looking military jacket and a comfy printed mini-dress.
