Gwen Stefani is definitely making a huge comeback! The fashion designer and singer has scored herself the magazine cover of Vogue‘s January 2013 issue. Not only that; she also covered Harper’s Bazaar September 2012 issue, and she’s also the cover of Marie Claire‘s first 2013 magazine issue.
Anyway, the 43-year-old donned a sparkling Saint Laurent outfit by Hedi Slimane (which showed her rock star self) for the Annie Leibovitz shoot. You may also want to check out her other photos at Vogue.
Gwen Stefani in Vogue‘s January 2013 issue
This magazine cover is very Gwen Stefani if you know what I mean. It shows every bit of a rock star that she is while still looking glamorous. The entire spread actually does not contain any gowns or a girly girl setting; it’s all just Gwen and her style.
On the cover, the Hedi Slimane outfit looks perfect on her. She’s sparkling in gold, and to make the entire look edgier, fashion editor Tonne Goodman (who styled Gwen here) finished her look with a pair of edgy boots by Alexander Wang.
Alexander Wang Mackenzie Booties, $625
This bootie is from the brand’s spring 2013 collection, and it features a combination of leather and suede. The leather material can be seen at the vamp and square toe, while suede appears on the two wide panels at the shaft and on the heel.
Alexander Wang did a great job with this boot. Actually, most of the shoes from his new collection features the same panel design, which is very edgy.
What do you think about this boot and Gwen’s cover photo? By the way, this January 2013 issue of Vogue will hit newsstands on December 25.
