In that case, these Luxury Jones boots are way ahead of the trend curve. You can’t get any more Western-inspired than these handcrafted, one-of-a-kind boots which are all upcycled from old cowboy boots:

The shafts on these cowboy boots have been turned down for a more modern style and were then wrapped with leather belts, buckles, fabrics, necklaces, coins, rings, studs, tassels and all manners of embellishments to create that charming yet cool mismatched look. And when they say that “each boot is different” they really mean it — not only are the boots and the embellishments found vintage, but each boot’s design has its own unique variations and was applied by hand.

The boots in the above picture are from Free People while the ones in the picture below are from Solestruck. Can you even find a pair of these Luxury Jones boots that look like each other?

These Luxury Jones boots retail for $438.00 at Free People while they’re $399.95 at Solestruck. Quite expensive for cowboy boots (or any boot, really) but unlike most unattainable shoes, at least these Luxury Jones boots inspire you to create your own upcycled boot. It’s easy enough to turn down the shaft on an old pair of boots and decorate them with belts that you’re not using anymore.

But not everyone has the time, skills or resources to do that so these boots are understandably selling out and selling out fast. If you find yourself even just liking a pair, better buy them right away because someone will surely snatch these up quick. Yes, the price may have you thinking twice about these boots now but you won’t even blink once you see how well these go with skinny jeans, maxi dresses, cut off denim shorts and all of your other warm-weather staples.

We’ve already covered the Steve Madden knockoffs of the lower versions of these Cobra Society boots and now, the thigh high versions have got their very own.

Check out this Caballero boot from Steve Madden’s “artisan” sub-label called Freebird by Steven, which undoubtedly copped the look of the Cobra Society Zeus boots down to the diamond pattern on the fabric-paneled shaft:

I almost always enjoy look-for-less versions of popular boot styles but I’m on the fence on this one. Alex Davis of Cobra Society has managed to develop a really unique and distinct design aesthetic for herself and I feel like it was just stolen from her through the knockoffs.

She’s also just an up-and-coming designer who had to do all the researching, manufacturing, down to sourcing the special handwoven Kilim rugs from the female rug artisans in Morroco’s Middle Atlas Mountains herself. Steve Madden didn’t even give her a chance with this one. And their knockoff version can’t even be considered inexpensive either.

Am I just overdramatizing this or do you also think that Steve Madden crossed a line with this one?

I love the larger, more stylish buckle detail on the harness strap on these tall boots. I also find the distressing very rich and I even love how Victoria Justice styled these boots while enjoying her time at the festival:

Sure, leopard print pants aren’t for everyone but if there’s any way to wear them, it’d be how Victoria Justice is wearing them here. Victoria toned them down with a black long sleeve turtleneck and a fur-trimmed hooded puffer coat. She finished off her look with a  purple beanie, a  Balenciaga motorcycle bag and a cognac leather belt tied around her waist which match the cognac color of her boots.

The one thing I’m not loving is how Victoria Justice used these boots to tromp through slushy snow:

Eep! Here you can see how the snow left some possibly permanent marks on the leather:

Oh well, Victoria Justice probably got these boots for free anyways — she was first spotted wearing them on an episode of her TV show “Victorious”. The important thing is she got some good use out of them. And judging by her tweet saying how gorgeous she finds the snow in Park City, she most likely had already gotten full use of these boots.

For that relatively low-key day, Kourtney Kardashian brought out her pair of Koolaburra Jaden stiletto biker boots which was first spotted on her sometime late last year. These 5-inch stiletto boots aren’t what most of us would choose to wear on a kickin’ it back day but for someone who’s used to wearing sky-high heels like Kourtney, these probably feel like fuzzy slippers to her.

Well, these boots are lined with soft and luxurious shearling so maybe they do have a bit of a fuzzy slipper-like feel to them.

Just a little bit though because as you can see, these biker boots look nothing like fuzzy slippers. In fact, they could even be considered as lookalikes of the Burberry shearling-lined buckled booties which as many of you may know, are only the most sought-after Burberry boots since the Fall 2010 collection.

We knew that those Cobra Societys were going to be “It” boots. The fact that they already had a knockoff just about a month after their release shows just how hot and in demand they are!

Steve Madden was first to come out with a low-cost version of the Cobra Society Otto boots, this ‘Tolteca’ boot with higher stacked heel, an added buckled harness strap and a slouched-down style:

Now we’re seeing distressed leather boots with patterned woven blanket inserts all over the place. Freebird by Steven recently came out with this ‘Caballero’ boot that comes closest to the look of the original Cobra Society Otto boots:

But not all woven blanket and leather boots out there are trying to copy the Cobra Societys. Frye only used their old ‘Shirley’ boot style for this newest trend but the effect is totally new and fresh while still retaining its vintage appeal:

We also spotted the trend on this Bed Stu ‘Hacienda’ boot. Instead of a cowboy boot, Bed Stu used a lace-up boot and also used the woven blanket fabric panels on other places other than the shaft:

When I saw this strappy bootie among the new arrivals at Neiman Marcus today, I could not believe that it’s from the designer that the description says it’s from.

My first guesses were either it’s from Michael Kors, because he always makes great gladiator-style shoes, or from Brian Atwood, because of his current crop of tomboyish yet sexy shoe designs.

There are of course plenty of other high-end and low-end shoe labels from which you could expect booties like this but the designer who does make this shoe? He’s somewhere near the bottom of my ‘guesses list’.

I won’t leave you hanging any longer — ladies, this strappy boot is a true-blue (or should I say true-red-soled?) Christian Louboutin:

Now that I look back on the all the Louboutins we’ve already featured here on our blog, I guess you can sort of expect this bootie design to come from Christian Louboutin. Still, it comes as a surprise to me especially since this is supposed to be a spring 2012 style.

No fun, bright colors, slim straps or sexy stilettos for this particular Louboutin — it’s all chunky straps, sharp cuts, and a steep, platformless pitch. The only warm weather-like feature on this bootie is that stacked heel and even then, it’s still a thick, blocky 4 3/4″ column heel.

I guess the fact that Christian Louboutin always manages to surprise you with unexpected things is why he is THE reigning king of the shoe industry.
