It’s been a couple of years since we officially started Boots4You. In those two years, we’ve written 400+ posts with over half of them published in 2011 alone.

Not all of them just whizzed past us though; there were some that proved their staying power and some that remained steadfast. Last but not least, every woman should own a showstopping boot. Our celebrity spot for today is actress Vanessa Hudgens who recently has been laying low from the paparazzi because she’s busy filming “The Frozen Ground” in Alaska. Thought she’d be the perfect feature for today since we here on Boots4You have also been away for a bit ourselves.

Of course, another major reason why we’re featuring Vanessa Hudgens for today is because of these really cute furry grey ugg boots she was recently spotted wearing:

Vanessa Hudgens is wearing them a little too slouchy but they’re still really cute boots, aren’t they? It also looks like Vanessa has been opting to wear these boots a lot while she’s in Alaska because they’re starting to look really worn-in.

Very different from her BFF Ashley Tisdale who packed an extensive winter boot collection while she was filming “Hellcats” in Vancouver, Canada early this year!

Looks like it’s the Duff sisters’ week here on Boots4You.

Hilary Duff’s Chanel brown leather boots caught our eye yesterday and today, it’s older sister Haylie Duff’s be-fringed brown boots:

Haylie Duff was spotted wearing these boots while shopping at Barneys in Beverly Hills with Ashley Tisdale yesterday afternoon. It seems like Haylie Duff has picked up some fashion pointers from Ashley T. because her boots look like something Ashley herself would wear too!

In fact, Ashley HAS worn boots like these, except they’re taller, have more fringes and don’t have the wedge heel.

Wait — you say you didn’t notice the wedge heel? That’s because it’s being covered by the fringes. Here it is up close:

Seeing as how Ashley Tisdale owns a very similar pair of boots, it was pretty easy to identify these. Haylie Duff’s boots are these Koolaburra Savannity boots which feature a 2 1/4″ wedge heel and a two-layer fringe detail:

I’m actually not a big fan of ugg boots with wedge heels but I guess these ones are okay because the fringe covers them anyway.

What’s short, sparkly all over and has been named as one of Oprah’s ULTIMATE Favorite Things?

UGG Australia released the sequined version of their Classic Short boot in time for Oprah’s very last Favorite Things show last November 2010 and it seems like they’re still getting a lot of kickback from it. Because even though it’s over half a year since that episode aired and even though the christmas-y sequins are not in season, UGG Australia still felt the need to release two brand new colors of the Sparkles boot right in the middle of summer 2011.

Check ‘em out — the black, silver and gold are the first three colors; the newly added colors are the passion purple and ruby red:

Now these are ugg boots that you can’t just pair with sweats or any ol’ comfortable thing. Because just look at them — there’s NO way they won’t attract attention or get a lot of stares!

One advantage I do see of having sequin-covered uggs is that they’re probably much easier to clean or take care of in general. It’s the sequins that are going to be first in contact with dirt, mud or grime and since they’re made of plastic, all you need is an old rag to wipe them clean.

Other than that, wearing these sequined uggs require a whole ‘nuther level of confidence!

The 18-year-old singer and globetrotter was spotted taking a breather in Sydney, shopping, relaxing and taking in the sights and sounds a few days before kicking off a series of concerts in the Land Down Under.

The paps were hot on the heels of Ashley Tisdale yesterday whom they know is filming Hellcats in Vancouver, Canada. They caught the 25-year-old actress on her lunch break and photographed her perusing the menu, ordering some food and taking out her meal from a nearby food truck:

Joshua Jackson looked like he pulled out all the stops to make this Valentine’s pick-up-at-the-airport moment special because look how dapper he looks! How handsome is he in that fedora, tailored grey blazer, dark blue jeans and spiffy leather shoes? Nevermind the roses; my heart (and jaw) would just drop at the mere sight of him.

Diane Kruger, on the other hand, is only dressed down for her day of travel in a lumpy grey sweater, black jeans and a scuffed up pair of UGG Classic Short Boots in black, but I’m pretty sure that Joshua Jackson doesn’t mind any of that.
