Jennifer Aniston Out for a Stroll in NYC in Prada Suede Lace-Up Ankle Boots

Jennifer Aniston was seen out and about in NYC’s West Village last Wednesday.

The calendar says it’s fall but Jennifer was all summery in this outfit consisting of a white tank top, cuffed boyfriend jeans and grey suede ankle boots. She even carried a water bottle around and shielded the sun with a quintessential pair of aviator sunglasses:

Must be tough keeping cool especially with all those paparazzi guys following your every move!

The heels on these are 4 inches high but Jennifer Aniston didn’t seem to have a problem walking around NYC in these.

What Do You Think of the Guess Christi “Knee High Boot Shaft Within a Bootie” Boot?

So I was looking through some new for fall boot styles when I came across these Guess by Marciano Christi knee high boots:

The knee high leather boot shaft within a suede platform bootie is an interesting concept, but doesn’t it sort of remind you of this other “style on top of another style” boot? :

Prada mary jane leather boots

If you stayed away from the internet in May of this year, let me introduce you to the infamous, notorious (and hideous?) Prada mary jane leather boots. These flesh and red $1,500 boots got the internet buzzing with their resemblance to prosthetic legs but to be fair, let me point out that these also came in blue/green/red suede with a matching python print.

Now back to the Guess boots.

It’s a gorgeous boot but I cannot unsee how it’s drawn inspiration from the Prada prosthetic leg boots:

But maybe it’s just because the brown leather boot shaft doesn’t quite match the brown suede bootie? The overlaid styles don’t look as starkly different on this all black leather version:

Rockport BP Boat 3 Get On the Men’s Espadrille Shoe Trend

Miuccia Prada had visions of espadrille-soled shoes on men’s feet this Spring 2011 season:

Like with many of Miuccia Prada’s previous collections, people weren’t quite sure what to make of these shoes at first. But eventually, many started warming up to the idea with some even realizing just how genius it is to put summery espadrille soles on serious shoes such as leather oxfords.

One of those who “got” the idea is the classic shoe brand Rockport who also used the espadrille sole on their new Rockport BP Boat 3 boat shoes:

Obviously, they didn’t take it quite as far as Prada who used foam soles in addition to the espadrilles, but they did take it far enough to create a reinvented look to their traditional boat shoe.

My opinion? I think this new style totally works. I know men would appreciate getting the bit of fashion-forwardness in these Rockport espadrille sole boat shoes while still getting to wear one of their favorite shoe styles.

Angelina Jolie Puts Her Trust in Prada Boots to Film “United Love Story”

Angelina Jolie is currently very busy filming her new movie not as an actress in it but as its director. The movie, entitled “United Love Story”, is about two lovers torn by the Bosnian war and is Angelina Jolie’s very first foray into directing.

The movie sounds like something that Angelina herself would star in, doesn’t it? But even if Angie won’t be gracing a single second of it with her beautiful face, I’m still excited to see it. I can’t wait to see what Angelina Jolie’s directing skill is like and see if it can compare to her finely tuned acting chops.

Angelina Jolie has almost always been photographed wearing boots while filming this movie but as the days got colder, she switched to the pair she’s wearing in all three pictures above. Now it seems like Angelina and those boots can’t be parted because it’s like the only thing she wears now. Just look at how scuffed they are in the last picture!

How Red Can You Go?

It seems like Boots4You was not the only one struck by cupid’s arrow. After I posted the entry on the Valentine’s Day Collection, I literally started seeing red everywhere!

Trainingheels’ red boot love, Rachel Bilson, and Prada Fall 2009 Wader Boots

Trainingheels over at Shoe Blog wrote about falling in love with a pair of fire engine red boots that were on sale. Paparazzi spotted Rachel Bilson last week going to a meeting in a pair fabulous knee-high red boots. Even the seemingly impossible-to-wear-in-real-life Prada Wader Boots were seen out and about, on the feet of no other than Jessica Alba.

Red is obviously very much in season, but how red can you go?

Rachel Bilson’s boots are a darker, almost brown red so that shade is probably the safest. The dynamite red on the boots that trainingheels loved so much is a bit trickier, but still a color most women can use to brighten up a drab outfit. But the Pradas? Not only are they a difficult orange red hue, but that unflattering triangular shape with the column heels make them even more complicated to wear. But that’s not stopping celebs like Jessica Alba and Lady Gaga from wearing the harnessed rubber boots – after all, they are Prada.

So which of these different shades of red can you wear?
