Jennifer Aniston was seen out and about in NYC’s West Village last Wednesday.

The calendar says it’s fall but Jennifer was all summery in this outfit consisting of a white tank top, cuffed boyfriend jeans and grey suede ankle boots. She even carried a water bottle around and shielded the sun with a quintessential pair of aviator sunglasses:

Hilary Duff’s expensive, high-end, mostly designer style rarely excites me but I have to admit, the girl does know how to make her clothes work for more than one occasion.

She did it with her Rag & Bone denim leggings last week and she did it again with this Pilates outfit this week, accessorizing it with wayfarers, gold hoop earrings, a black summer scarf and Chanel brown leather boots to make it more than paparazzi-ready and picture-worthy:

IMHO, Hilary Duff could’ve done away with everything else because those beyond beautiful Chanel boots could carry the entire outfit!

They kind of look like the knee high version of Claudia Schiffer’s cognac-colored thigh Chanel boots, don’t you think? Except Hilary Duff’s boots don’t have a zipper opening anywhere and are just in a pull-on style. Makes you wonder how in the world Hilary Duff got these boots on but as you can probably judge from the close-up picture, the leather is so pliable, flexible and buttery soft you’d be tempted to try and spread it on toast.

Yes, yes, there’s already so much about combat boots on this blog, but I’m sorry, I’ve found another excuse to write about it: menswear.

Even the men get the boot this 2010 too. GQ.com’s latest trend report on the runways in Milan is all about the combat boot, saying that this is the style that men should be wearing like right now.

Strong, rugged, sleek, masculine: this is how menswear should be. Forget what advertisements and commercials are saying about the feminine man, the vain non-gay male, and the metrosexual – they’re all just marketing ploys anyways. Men’s fashion should be direct, straight-up, and no frills, quite literally and figuratively.

These new combat boot styles are just the accessory that menswear needs right now for Fall/Winter 2010. With their metal hardware, polished leather, buckled straps, and dark colors, this is fashion and functionality at its best. It was difficult to choose the best style among all the combat boots featured on GQ, but this one narrowly beat out the competition:
