Look what I found just sitting around in the virtual bargain bin over at the discount site 6pm:

I know I’m a little late in featuring these boots here on our blog (Timberland first introduced these boots way back in late 2008 / early 2009 I believe) but this is the best deal I’ve seen on them EVER. I wrote a post on Timberland famous men’s work boots – now for women a little over a year ago. I featured a nice pair of rugged women’s boots back then but these Animes are clearly THE women’s version of Timberland’s most popular men’s work boots. It’s like they literally just stuck a high heel on the men’s work boot! But of course, because it’s Timberland, you can expect these boots to be as durable and as comfortable as the original.

As great as they look, I’m not so sure about using these boots for actual work though. I’d much prefer flats, sneakers or a low square heel. But if there are women out there who wouldn’t think twice about using these boots for manual labor, we’d love to hear from you!

These Timberland Anime 6-Inch Boots have got a 3-inch heel but that padded collar, that lug sole and that tough leather upper show that it’s ready to get down and dirty!

It-girl-of-the-moment Megan Fox was recently photographed with beau Brian Austin Green and Brian’s son Kassius at Sherman Oaks Mall last November 18. She was spotted wearing UGG’s Classic Cardy Boots in gray.

We’ve featured Uggs before (in fact, we just wrote about a pair in our last blog post), but this particular style is quite the popular one.

However, despite the numerous celebs who vouch for these boots, sweater boots don’t seem to be as accepted in the fashion industry. Is it because of their lazy appearance and that they look like only kids should be wearing them? Is it because of the UGG (“UGG-ly” shoes) name? Or is the fact that so many mainstream celebs are wearing it the very reason why they’re so – as Karl Lagerfeld would say, – demode?

You can’t deny that sweater boots are really warm and cozy though. Forget that you have to be very careful not to get them dirty (Denise Richards’ in the picture above look like they need to be cleaned real soon), sweater boots are great footwear to just lounge in.
