Actually, these photoshoot pictures of them don’t differ much from their candid shots. They’re always dressed so nicely, these pictures might as well be taken on any of their normal days!

Even Olivia’s boots, the very popular and very recognizable Stuart Weitzman 50/50 boots, seem to have been taken from Olivia’s own shoe closet. Olivia even told People that she plans on living in her Stuart Weitzman 50/50 boots “all winter long”.

Incidentally, ...Read more »]]> My shoe closet is currently in need of a pair of buckled boots this winter. Though I’m loving the clean and sleek tall boots that are trending now, I can’t help but be drawn to the classic styling of the rough and rugged buckled boot.

So far, my two candidates are the ‘Poat’ boot and the ‘Camon’ boot, both from Aldo Group shoe label Call It Spring. Call It Spring boots have the classic yet stylish look that I love. Incidentally, they also have the specific buckled boot styles (and the prices!) that I am looking for right now.

First up is the ‘Poat’ boot:

What first drew me to this boot is that cream faux fur lining along the top 2 inches of the inside boot shaft. I’m sure that that’s going to contribute greatly to this boot’s comfortability and you can probably also fold that part down for a different look. The stacked cone heel also adds a bit of a feminine touch to this buckled boot but at just 2 inches, it’s going to be manageable and not a problem to walk in at all.

I also have to note that this boot is now discounted at 25% off, which means I get to save a nice $25 on them.

My next candidate is this ‘Camon’ boot:

Call It Spring Camon boots, $55.99 (was $79.99) at Zappos

Now this boot gets the buckled boot look that I’m really going for. I love how one of the buckled straps straddles the heel, giving it a bit of a harness strap look. The burnished finish on the synthetic leather makes the boot look expensive and like they were made of real leather. I also love how the sole have that wooden finish but they’re really made of rubber which is the material that you want especially in winter.

With the discount Zappos put on this boot, this ‘Camon’ boot is also much cheaper at $55.99. That for me is a very reasonable price pay for a boot made of faux leather.

I love the ‘Poat’ boot for it’s faux fur lining but the stacked heel draws away from its ruggedness. I love the ‘Camon’ boot for its true-to-the-original buckled boot style but I’m not liking that it’s only a pull-on boot. So in short, I still can’t decide between the two — should I go for the Call It Spring Poat boots or the Call It Spring Camon boots?

Sigh. Maybe I should just join Call It Spring’s Best. Weekend. Ever contest so I can win a $1,000 Call It Spring gift card and not have to choose between the two. Nicole’s silvery square-studded side-ruched top was paired with black leather pants, which she accessorized with plenty of rock-inspired gunmetal jewelry pieces. She teamed her look with loose wavy hair and heavy eye makeup. Her finishing touch for us of course are these fabulous fringe boots on her feet:

We thought Nicole Scherzinger’s fringe boots were the Nicholas Kirkwood fringe wedge booties at first but hers clearly have a stiletto heel. A bit more looking around lead us to these fringe boots from Luichiny. These have the long fringes, the inside zipper and the seam on the side of the vamp just as they are on Nicole’s own boots:

You can’t help but love the red heart stamp on the bottom soles of these boots! And we’ve always found swishy fringes on boots very swoon-worthy.

Well, we won’t have that problem with these Lumiani Lexie over-the-knee riding boots. With their unique triple back-of-the-knee buckled straps and swishy long fringe accents, these boots set themselves apart from the rest of the riding boot crowd effortlessly and easily:

I really just cannot get enough of those buckled straps at the back of the knees on these boots. Over-the-knee boots usually just have a slit or are cut low at that area so I find the style of these slim straps really refreshing!

Although I would cut the long fringes maybe just a wee bit because I find them a little too long for my liking. Otherwise, everything — the color, the height and the riding boot style — is just perfect on these boots.

UGG Collection has to be an entirely different label, I thought to myself. But no, these boots really are from the same people who brought us “ugg-ly” boots.

The boots in UGG Collection use the same genuine shearling countless people have come to love about uggs, but what makes them special is they’re handcrafted in Italy using only the finest Italian leather and materials. I don’t think I need to mention that these boots are also designed to look more chic, stylish and, well, not anything like the uggs that we know.
