Rupert Grint in American Flag Print Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars

Okay, so he isn’t American, but British actor Rupert Grint also seemed to have been infected with the festive Fourth of July spirit this past week!

Oh and okay, so hi-top sneakers aren’t really considered as boots, but I couldn’t help but blog about this because Rupert Grint in his American flag print Chuck Taylors is too cute NOT to.

Here’s Rupert Grint being one with the US in celebrating US Independence Day by wearing his American flag sneakers. He wore them once more in the US this week, though we unfortunately do not have pictures from that event:

Rupert Grint’s Chuck Taylors look like this when they’re brand new:

Rupert has really scruffed up his pair a lot but given the huge amount of money he’s made off of the Harry Potter films, he can afford to wear out a pair everyday if he wanted to!

I think it’s cute that Rupert Grint admits to buying the the most ridiculous stuff with his earnings (including a bright orange Range Rover, an ice cream truck and a hovercraft) because it’s exactly what a kid would do. He told the Guardian in an interview that yes, he “spends a lot and just on stupid things” because he doesn’t really know what to do with all that much.

What would YOU buy if you were offered that kind of money starting at age 13?

Well, thankfully, you don’t need a bank account like Rupert Grint’s to get his awesome Chuck Taylors. The American Flag print ones show above are $72.00 — discounted down from $80.00 — right now at Zappos.
